Music Business: Recording Industry Level 3

This award will expose individuals to the range of jobs available within the music industry and equip them with transferable skills which prepare them for working within these different job roles. The learners will gain real life experience in a music business environment enabling them to work as successfully in a large or small music organisation, as well as equipping them with the entrepreneurial skills required to set up their own music venture.

Qualification Structure

To achieve the full National Award in Music Business (Recording Industry), you are required to complete all seven of the units at Level 3.

Mandatory Core (7 Units)

  • Unit 1 Work with artists and repertoire
  • Unit 2 Develop a music business opportunity
  • Unit 3 Planning and managing in the music industry
  • Unit 4 Produce and maintain contract in the music industry
  • Unit 5 Plan budgets and record and maintain financial information
  • Unit 6 Support a music industry marketing campaign
  • Unit 7 Contribute to assessing the impact of emerging technology for music business and your organisation

Music Business: Recording Industry Level 2

To achieve the full National Award in Music Business (Recording Industry), you are required to complete all six of the units at Level 2.
