Candidates must complete all units in Group A, Mandatory Units. Candidates must complete one unit from each of the optional groups, plus one further unit.

Group A Mandatory Units

Candidates must complete all units in Group A

  • Unit 1 Solve Problems on Behalf of Customers
  • Unit 2 Manage Yourself
  • Unit 3 Provide Information and material to Users
  • Unit 4 Identity Information and material required by user and its availability

B Group B Optional Units

Candidates must complete one unit from Group B

  • Unit 5 Organise Information and Material
  • Unit 6 Index Information
  • Unit 7 Create new Material to Preserve Information
  • Unit 8 Design and Produce Spreadsheets
  • Unit 9 Control the Use of Electronic Communication

C Group C Optional Units

Candidates must complete one unit from Group C

  • Unit 10 Provide Customers with IT Support
  • Unit 11 Evaluate and Monitor the Receipt of Payments from Customers for the Purchase of Goods and Services
  • Unit 12 Collect and Process Information for use with Clients
  • Unit 13 Enable Clients to Access and use Information
  • Unit 14 Provide Displays
  • Unit 15 Maintain a Supportive Environment for Users
  • Unit 16 Provide Induction and Orientation Activities for Users
  • Unit 17 Store and Display Information and Material

D Group D Optional Units

Candidates must complete one unit from Group D

  • Unit 18 Maintain Activities to Meet Requirements
  • Unit 19 Support the Efficient use of Resources
  • Unit 20 Create Effective Working Relationships

Information and Library Services Level 2

Candidates must complete all units in Group A, Mandatory Units. Candidates must complete one unit from the optional units in Group B, and one unit from the optional units in Group C. Candidates must also complete one further unit from either optional group.
