Application & Procedure

V&A Candidates

1. Applications for all NVQs should be made on the V&A Training Application form available from r.chan@vam.ac.uk. The application will need to be signed and supported by your manager.
2. The Training Department will then register you as a candidate with the V&A Cultural Heritage Assessment Centre and allocate you an assessor.
3. The first appointment with your assessor will be an induction to the NVQ. Assessor meetings will be booked with you every 4–6 weeks for one hour.
4. It can take between 6 months to a year to complete an NVQ depending on the level and your ability to evidence the objectives within your role at work.
5. Study leave for NVQs can be granted within the V&A Training policy and needs to be approved by your manager.
6. On successful completion of the NVQ you will be awarded a certificate by the awarding body Education Development International and the V&A.
